Futile Remains

You know you want to achieve it,
You want it so bad!

Wanting to know the unknown,
and explore the oblivion.

You’re hungry to get all they have,
but you pretend it doesn’t matter to you.

While all it does to you,
is deeply wound your soul.

Put a crack through your heart,
and lunacy through your head.

Your eyes try to see them in contempt,
although they can clearly see through the grace.

The envy is filled up in your chest,
waiting to erupt in form of curses and criticism.

Your mind doesn’t agree with the reality,
the agony catches even more fire over time.

The unfulfilled wishful thinking,
leads you to the path of self-destruction.

Devastating the path of peace and serenity,
leaving the mind useless in the body of a living dead.

And all that what remains is,
the futile residue of hatred and fear.

Which was once a wholesome ambition,
full of dreams and good spirit!

Do we even know,
what’s about to come?

The things we plan,
don’t find us until
it’s right time.

All we have to do is,
wait, take a deep breath,
and keep working to be better.

The Alternate Life

If you choose your own path,
what would really happen?

The confused mind and the hesitant heart,
these two fight a constant battle within self.

You want to grab the opportunity,
but don’t want to face the consequences.

The choices you make for yourself,
matter the most than what others choose for you.

You’d never firmly settle to one goal,
thinking about ‘what if I don’t make it big?’

While the doors await open,
for you to step in and beyond.

Beyond the cage of mind, beyond the social norms,
wanting you to push yourself past your limits.

But amidst the societal pressure and chaos,
you still couldn’t decide what you really wanted.

The people and their views stopped you,
while the time was still running.

You tried, you failed,
you fell and got up again.

Every mistake of yours,
has taught you something new.

Now that you know you can conquer,
whatever you’ve been wanting to.

Would you surpass those inner boundaries,
and accomplish all that you want to?

Or then later think, ‘had I made my choices correctly,
I certainly would’ve lived a better life!

The Building Trek: Experiencing Arcade Games

I’m not really a sports person, nor am I into any sort of physical fitness training by choice. But you never know when your dislikes may stand like a huge mountain before you as compulsion. Well, in this case, it was a building.

I awoke one morning hoping my day would be just like the usual ones- unadventurous, a little productive and slightly goofy. Little did I know about the massive twist that was awaiting me at my office building. I got ready and all set to go, I caught an auto-rickshaw and after commuting for more than half the way, I read my messages and find out that the elevator at my workplace building isn’t working (more…)
