The concept of Guru has been originated from Bharat (India), and this term is prevalent and used by many across the globe to describe experts in their respective fields of interests. However, the word Guru- created from the Sanskrit letters गु (Gu), which means darkness and रु (Ru), which means light. So, Guru is the one who sheds light and rids darkness from one’s life. The Guru is usually confused with being a teacher. However, a Guru is much more than that. He is the one, concerned about his Bhakta’s (disciple/follower) well being and provides everything that is required for him to attain progress in life. A step beyond this is the Sadguru (or Satguru), the true Guru, who ties His disciple over and rids them of the troubles of this world and helps them attain the paramount goal in life.
